What to include
To help us understand the issue without collecting more information than necessary, please include:
- The city, transit operator, and station or stop involved.
- The ticket or fare medium you selected in Unfined.
- Your iPhone or Apple Watch model and OS version.
- What you expected, what happened, and the approximate local date and time.
Please do not send payment-card numbers, ticket barcodes, passport details, or precise location history. A city and station name are enough for reminder reports.
Quick fixes
A station reminder did not arrive
Open iPhone Settings → Apps → Unfined and confirm that Location is set to Always and Notifications are allowed. In Unfined, confirm that the correct city is selected and reminders are not paused.
Station geofences trigger when you cross a boundary. Starting the app while already inside one may not produce an immediate reminder, and iOS may delay delivery to save power. Use Boarding preflight when you need guidance immediately.
A tram or bus reminder did not arrive
Confirm that Motion & Fitness access is allowed for Unfined. Motion-based background delivery is opportunistic and cannot be guaranteed when iOS has suspended the app. Use Boarding preflight before entering or boarding for the reliable manual check.
A reminder was late or appeared while passing a station
iOS location and motion signals can arrive late or be imprecise. Email us the city, station, approximate local time, and whether you were walking, riding transit, or driving. You do not need to send exact GPS coordinates.
A fare rule looks wrong or out of date
Transit operators remain authoritative. Do not rely on Unfined when it conflicts with an operator, ticket machine, validator, or inspector. Please send the city, ticket type, the wording that looks wrong, and an official operator link if you have one.
The app still shows a permission warning
Location, Notifications, and Motion & Fitness are separate iOS permissions. Granting one does not enable the others. Follow the warning on Unfined’s Home screen to open the relevant iOS Settings page, then reopen the app.
Safety and scope
Unfined does not sell tickets, certify fare validity, or provide proof of purchase or validation. Its reminders and activity history are personal aids only. The transit operator’s instructions and systems always control.
Privacy when contacting support
The Unfined app sends us no diagnostics, location, or account information automatically. If you email support, we receive only the information you choose to include in that message. See the privacy policy for details about the app.
